A mirror with war trophies

A Dutch 17th century carverd and gilt limewood frame, elaborately carverd with foliage and war trophies. The coat of ars are those from the Van Rappard family. Originally this frame was made for a painting, representing a militarian portrait. The infomation about the coat of arms was kindly given by a Van Rappard family member during the Tefaf-Maastricht Fair, who recognised his coat of arms.
