Carved wood and ivory figure on a separately worked plinth. A detailed and finely carved figure of an old beggar woman in torn clothing, leaning on a walking stick and holding a coin in her hand. Similar ivory figures were produced as of 1711 by Wilhelm Krüger in the “Dresdener Kunstkammer”, designed after etchings by Jacques Callot like the present work.
