The feet of this linen press are decorated with small lions. They are sitting in a sphinx like position and with their behind turned upward, as if they were doing a hand stand. These feet had a functional purpose a well, making sure the press was secure and well balanced. Similar feet can be found on caskets dated in the late 16th century.
A drawer is placed between the feet of the press, which can be opened from the back. The front of the press is decorated with a cherub head, flanked by rosettes. On top of the two bottle shaped columns with ionic capitals, rests a scaffold. The scaffold contains a scalloped motif on the frieze and on top of both corners ornamental knots. The pressing board is decorated with floral ornaments in all four corners.
